2. Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center, Winston-Salem

3. University of North Carolina Hospitals, Chapel Hill
813 doctors have privileges at this hospital, and there are 830 beds. It’s nationally-ranked in five adult specialties and is a teaching hospital. 101 Manning Drive, Chapel Hill.
4. Carolinas Medical Center, Charlotte
This is the largest hospital on our list, with 1,132 beds and 1,477 doctors. It’s recognized nationally for two adult and five children’s specialities. 1000 Blythe Blvd, Charlotte.
5. Mission Hospital, Asheville
Mission Hospital in Asheville performed nearly at national levels in five specialities. It has 763 beds and admitted 38,131 patients last year. 509 Biltmore Avenue, Asheville.
6. Moses H. Cone Memorial Hospital, Greensboro
This large hospital has 1,007 beds and had 197,050 emergency room visits last year. It performed close to national levels in four adult specialties, and ranked particularly high in patient safety. 1200 N Elm St, Greensboro.
7. FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital, Pinehurst
This little hospital only has 371 beds and is one of only two hospitals on this list that doesn’t have a trauma center. It ranked almost at national levels in four adult specialties and scored high in patient safety. 155 Memorial Drive, Pinehurst.
8. Duke Regional Hospital, Durham
This small hospital has just 210 beds and does not have a trauma center. It admitted 14,935 patients last year, and ranked high in four adult specialties. 3643 N Roxboro Road, Durham.
9. Novant Health Presbyterian Medical Center, Charlotte
Novant actually tied for #8 on U.S. World and News’ Report. It ranked nearly at national levels in four specialties, and admitted 29,657 patients last year. 200 Hawthorne Lane, Charlotte.
10. Vidant Medical Center, Greenville
Vidant also tied with Duke Regional and Novant Health Presbyterian for 8th on the list. It has 909 beds and a trauma center. Vidant saw 114,826 patients in its emergency room last year. 2100 Stantonsburg Road, Greenville.
