There's no better place to soak in New York's rich history than the city of Albany. The New York State Capitol building is one to be admired, standing beautifully and full of architectural brilliance. Tours are free of charge and are available Monday through Friday at 10AM, 12PM, 2PM and 3PM. You can also make reservations to tour the building on the second Saturday of every month at 11AM and 1PM! 2. Lockport Cave & Underground Boat Ride, Lockport
If you know New York then you're aware that our state is hiding some pretty
incredible caves. While our most well known cave to explore is Howe Caverns, this eerie underground cave and boat tour sure gives it a run for its money! Located on an island just over 6 acres in size, the castle was once used as a military surplus warehouse just north of New York City.
