When the outdoor dining puts us right near the water! There’s nothing more relaxing than enjoying a view of the water while you enjoy your meal. While we have plenty of lakefront and even oceanfront restaurants, today we’re going to focus on some of the hidden gems you can discover right along our rivers.

A piece of Lewiston's history for over 100 years, this restaurant just may be the most unique on our list. In 1998 The Silo would open its doors as the new refreshment stand in town, converting the original silo into something everyone can enjoy. The restaurant serves up a menu that is completely drool worthy, including things like Beef on Weck to speciality hot dogs and burgers. With panoramic views of the Niagara River, there's not much you won't love about this place.
Another bonus? In 2010 the owner found a retired train caboose dating back to the late 1800s and has now converted it into an Ice Cream stand! Seriously, this place is bucket list worthy.

Overlooking the Hudson River, this French-American restaurant has a lot to love. With Summer Jazz nights every Wednesday at 6PM, there's no better time than now to check this place out. Outdoor dining on the ground level as well as the rooftop, giving you different ways to view the river, both equally stunning. Our suggestion? Make it there for lunch and try out one of their amazing sandwiches like the Shrimp Po'boy!

Found in one of the many amazing small towns along the Hudson River, Harvest on Hudson has amazing outdoor dining. Sit outside and take in the scenic views surrounding you, all while you enjoy one of their tasty Italian dishes. With so many great dishes it's hard to pick just one, but we do know that you must make enough room for dessert!

Is your mouth watering yet? How amazing does this Ice Cream Sandwich look? Whoever came up with that whole dinner before dessert thing clearly never went to Half Moon for their sweet treats. Serving up a ton of great seafood dishes, this place is perfect for getting a close-up view of the Hudson River.

How about that view, huh? Set right on a cliff above the Hudson River, you'll have a breathtaking view of the Mid-Hudson Bridge. A restaurant that specializes in steaks and seafood, you won't regret making a trip out here.

If your'e out in the Rochester area you won't want to miss this riverfront restaurant! Out on the Genesee River, this place tends to be quite lively! With live entertainment and incredible food, you'll find yourself coming back here more than once. So what should you eat? We suggest trying out their Strawberry Salad or Fried Calamari!

Another great find along the Hudson River, this Italian restaurant not only gives you a look at the river but also the Tappan Zee Bridge! Our suggestion? Try their scallops!

Another restaurant that has views of the Tappan Zee Bridge as well as the George Washington, this restaurant has quite the unique style. While their menu features a variety of Italian, Asian and French influence, it's the atmosphere of Xaviars that will really win you over. Our suggestion? Once again, save room for dessert. From cheesecake to sorbets and homemade "Oreo" desserts, you won't leave here with an empty stomach!

Right along the St. Lawrence River out amongst the Thousand Islands, there's a small and charming restaurant waiting for you. There may be no denying the delicious goodness of their Philly Cheese Steaks, you'll often hear those who have visited boasting about their amazing wings!

Operating since the early 1990s, this riverfront restaurant has long been a local favorite. Right on the Seneca River, Suds Factory serves as both a pub and the perfect place to eat. Our suggestion? Try something off of their seafood section of the menu!
