Our state parks that you'll find out on Long Island are completely breathtaking, filled with terrain and scenery that you won't find throughout our other regions upstate. Covering well over a thousand acres of land, the park is open all year long from sunrise until sunset, seven days a week.

Listed on the National Register of Historic Places back in 1979, Caumsett is the perfect place to explore if you're looking to combine education with adventure.
The state park features many historic structures all over the property. In the early 1920s a man by the name of Marshall Field III bought the large property so he could create the ultimate estate. Field managed to create an estate that had anything you could ever dream of and by the time the estate was complete, it featured every kind of sports facility you could ever imagine...
except for golf. Here at the state park you can learn about rich history all while enjoying a scenic adventure.
Caumsett is a popular place for our residents to visit because of the variety of activities you can keep yourself busy with while you're visiting.

The park now offers several miles of trails that will bring you through forested wonderlands and by the water where you'll be pinching yourself to see if this enchanting place is actually real.
