The tiny town of Reserve is probably best known for its ties to local hero, Elfago Baca. Baca was a self-appointed sheriff who survived a 36-hour standoff, during which a gang of cowboys fired 4000 rounds at him! (For more info.) You can still find a mouthwatering meal in the wilderness. Head to Ella’s Café and see for yourself.
