Although many different flags have flown over New Mexico, the Union Jack has never been one of them. So it’s surprising to find a genuine tearoom in Albuquerque. However, since it opened in 1999, the St. James Tearoom has been bringing the British custom of high tea to the Land of Enchantment.
Reservations are required for The St. James Tearoom, regardless of party size. (It’s best to do so several days in advance.)
The tearoom is located at 320 Osuna Road NE, Building D, in Albuquerque.
Have you experienced high tea here? Do you plan to add it to your New Mexico dining bucket list? What other restaurants whisk you away to another part of the world or time in history?
