1. Concho Hills Guest Ranch (Magdalena)
Located in cattle country, Concho Hills lives up to expectations associated with the word "ranch." Embrace Western heritage with a days spent riding and learning how to toss a lasso (if that appeals), and nights filled with home-cooked meals and stargazing. 4. McGinn’s Pistachio Tree Ranch (Alamogordo)
This ranch is famous for having the world’s largest pistachio! However, there’s plenty to do after you’ve posed with this giant nut. Take a short motorized tour of the 111-acre farm, which contains both pistachio trees and grapevines. Afterwards, stop by the country store to pick up nuts, nut brittle, or a bottle of wine.
