Where are some interesting places to stay in New Mexico?

New Mexico has lots of unique hotels, hot springs resorts, and delightful accommodations. Here are a few interesting places to stay in New Mexico during your next visit:

  • Ojo Caliente Mineral Springs Resort and Spa, Ojo Caliente, NM: One of the coolest (well okay, hottest) things about New Mexico are the natural hot springs. And what better way to enjoy these natural wonders than in a unit hot springs resort? This resort has been toasting toes for over 140 years. Not only can you soak in a private hot springs bath but you can squish into a mud pool — trust us it is more luxurious than it sounds.
  • Hotel Parq Central, Albuquerque, NM: Hotel Parq Central is a historic hotel with a, let's say, rather spooky past. What is now a beautiful hotel in a historic building with a rejuvenating Apothecary Lounge was once a hospital treating ailing railroad employees and then a children's psychiatric institution. This hospital which was built in 1924 is said to have carried over some of its guests into the modern-day hotel. If you don't mind sharing a bed with an unseen entity this fascinating hotel is for you.
  • The Trinity Hotel, Carlsbad, NM: If you are looking for a charming boutique hotel near the Carlsbad Caverns, this one is delightful. From the outside, it looks like a regal structure from 1892. This is fitting because it was constructed in that year as the First National Bank. It also housed the town's newspaper offices. In 2007, the building was given a delightful refresh and turned into the boutique hotel you now see today. When you visit, be sure to take advantage of the free wine tasting every Sunday afternoon.
