I’ve been really into drone footage recently as I’m thoroughly impressed by the technology. I love the way drones let us see the world, but there are other ways to use technology to gain perspective. Timelapse videos allow us to experience a vast span of time in a matter of minutes – we can go from fall into winter or from sunrise to sunset. I find watching these videos to be quite relaxing, and when I watch timelapse videos of New Jersey, I couldn’t be happier. There’s such an expansive range of content available on the world wide web, and I’m sure you can find fantastic footage of the Garden State in seconds. Still, not every video is made the same. If you’re looking for something truly extraordinary, I’ve got the perfect video for you, and it comes in at just under 4 minutes of pure bliss.

A very talented photographer (Jack Fusco) created an incredible time lapse video of the night sky over some of our favorite shore destinations including: Ocean Grove, Manasquan, Seaside Heights, Island Beach State Park, Barnegat Light, Sea Isle City, Ocean City, Avalon, Stone Harbor, Cape May, Heislerville, Cape May Point. You absolutely must watch this video, it is one of the most breathtaking, relaxing works of art I’ve ever seen. Though the footage is from a few years back, it’s just as relevant as ever – check it out:

This film took 10 months, more than 40 hours of shooting, and over 5,000 photos to complete. I’d absolutely say that all the effort was worth it – it’s a masterpiece! After watching the video half a dozen times, I had to share it with you. If you enjoy it as much as I do, learn more about the photographer on his Facebook Page or website.
