What Hikers Just Discovered On This New Jersey Trail Is Truly Disturbing
With summer coming to a close, many of us have been looking forward to spending this weekend outside taking advantage of the beautiful weather. In an unfortunate twist like something out of a terrifying movie, the Wayne Police Department has issued a warning to those exploring New Jersey trails: Be aware that booby traps have been found on the trails at High Mountain Park.
The warning comes issued today after a resident reported that since June 23, he has discovered wooden planks covered in nails beneath the trail surface, barbed wire and strategically placed broken glass along the trails at the park.
Those hiking on any of New Jersey’s trails are urged to be safe and to keep your eyes open. If you do come across any booby traps or dangerous objects, please be sure to contact the police immediately.
