Of course, the most epic mountain in this state is Mount Washington.
This 6,288-foot peak is the highest in the North East. In addition to being known for its size, Mount Washington is known for its crazy weather.

However, when the weather is good, Mount Washington is simply breathtaking.
The views from the summit stretch to Canada, east to the Atlantic ocean, and west to New York. In the picture below, the orange streak in the distance is the ocean, more than 70 miles away.
