There are plenty of fantastic restaurants in New Hampshire serving inventive, upscale cuisine. Sometimes, though, you just want a good old fashioned home cooked meal of the comfort foods you’ve loved since your youth. If a filling and nostalgic meal is what you’re after, we’ve got just the place for you!
George's Diner is located in Meredith, not far from the town docks. It's been run by Roger and Robin Rist - and has been a local favorite - since it opened in 1991.
Their motto says it all - "Just Good Food!" Their loyal customers certainly agree that's what you'll find here.
Their interior isn't fancy - but it's clean, cozy, and always inviting. And they're open 7 days a week, 6 AM–8 PM, so they're always there when you need a good meal.
Arguably, the most important meal at a diner is breakfast - and George's serves a great one.
Of course there's plenty of great diner coffee to wash down your meal and charge you up.
Of course, there are plenty of non-breakfast options to keep you going the rest of the day. If you're in the mood for seafood, they serve a mean clamroll.
Everything is fresh, homemade, and comforting.
With standbys like meatloaf, chicken tenders, and New England boiled dinners, the challenge is choosing what to order (and finishing your large portion).
Just be sure to save some room for dessert - after all, what's a trip to a diner without a big wedge of pie?
Hungry yet? You can find George’s Diner at 10 Plymouth St , Meredith, NH 03253 .
