New Hampshire is known as a pretty rural state where you can sit back and relax without having to do much of anything. But one town in New Hampshire has the perfect blend of exciting attractions and natural beauty just waiting to be explored. That combination makes Merrimack, New Hampshire an amazing place for a day trip or to visit! There are the features that make this town totally unique:
Merrimack, New Hampshire is one of just fives places in the United States where you can tour a Budweiser facility.
On the free tour you can taste a complimentary bud after seeing how the brew is prepared.
You can even meet the legendary Budweiser Clydesdale horses live and in person.
Merrimack also has some of the best shopping in New Hampshire with the Premium Outlets. People who come up from Massachusetts and other states know just how unique tax-free outlet shopping is.
The outlets have tons of stores where you can score great deals in a uniquely New Hampshire setting.
If you prefer smaller breweries, or just want an excuse for another brewery stop, head to Able Ebenezer Brewing Company, a smaller operation that still produces great beers.
With all that drinking and shopping, you'll definitely want to eat. Step outside your comfort zone and try some truly delicious Thai food at Sweet Ginger.
The bright colors and bold flavors will please everyone in your party. Just be prepared for what's in store if you're brave enough to order a spicy dish.
For some outdoor fun, head to Twin Bridges Park. There you can enjoy a walk to a picnic along the Baboosic Stream. There's also a great playground for little ones, and plenty of wildlife in the area.
Of course, if you visit with kids they'll really want to head to Nuthin But Good Times, a massive indoor playground that is basically a kids paradise.
End the day with a sweet treat at King Kone, which has been a favorite place to get ice cream in Merrimack for over forty years!
