Today the town of Exeter is a bustling town on the seacoast, home to families, teachers and students at Phillips Exeter and businesses that have found homes in the abandoned mill buildings. In the 1940s the town was also bustling, but with a different type of energy. Most of the people in town were employed in the mills, and life just looked completely different.
