Mount Charleston is a tiny town located in Clark County. Aptly named for the mountain that towers above it, the town is just a short drive north from Las Vegas.

The town has a very small population of just 357 people. However, it sits at an elevation of around 7,500 feet which makes it a popular vacation spot for its cooler temperatures.

The highlight of the town is the majestic Mount Charleston which is the highest peak in the Spring Mountains. The area is rich with recreational opportunities. In fact, there are about 51 miles of hiking trails throughout the area. Not to mention the endless skiing and snowboarding opportunities for powder-hounds.

The rest of the surroundings are just as stunning. The area features beautiful mountain scenery that just seems to go on forever. This really has got to be one of the most scenic regions in Nevada.
