Nachos: tortilla chips with melted cheese and whatever else you want to put on them. Well, nachos have certainly evolved greatly over the years with restaurants trying new and exciting versions of this traditional dish. While nachos are my absolute favorite food, my lactose intolerance greatly limits my ability to eat them as much as I’d like to. However, I would gladly suffer digestive distress for this incredible, lip smackin’ good Nevada nacho trail.
1. Guy Fieri's El Burro Borracho, 2900 S. Casino Drive, Laughin (inside of Harrah's Laughlin)
All I can say is, "Wow." If you are a nachos aficionado like me, the Trash Can Nachos are a work of art. Loaded with black beans, queso casero, pickled red onions, crema, pico de gallo, Cotija cheese, cilantro, jalapenos, and your choice of chicken, carne asada, chorizo, or carnitas, make sure you bring a friend. Or two. Or three.

2. The Peppermill Restaurant and Fireside Lounge, 2985 Las Vegas Blvd. South, Las Vegas
While everything at the
Peppermill is delicious, it's nachos are, truly, to die for.

With a name like Nacho Daddy, this place should have killer nachos. And it does. There are 13 different types such as supreme tostada nachos (pictured), filet mignon nachos, spicy crab and shrimp nachos, buffalo chicken nachos, BBQ pork nachos, Thai chicken nachos, and even a vegan option. among them. Wow! And they're all so incredibly delicious.
4. Tonopah Brewing Company, 315 S. Main Street, Tonopah
While a barbecue joint and tap house may seem like an odd place for nachos, the barbecue pulled pork nachos are a bucket list item for sure.
5. Playa Azul Mexican Restaurant, 415 E. William Street, Carson City
Playa Azul has some pretty darn tasty nachos with your choice of chicken, beef, or carne asada served with all the fixin's. Portions are huge, prices are great, and service is friendly.
6. El Charro Avitia, 4389 S. Carson Street, Carson City
After 39 years in Carson City, you'd think El Charro Avitia knows what it's doing. And it does. Voted the best of the best Mexican food, everything on this menu is tasty. In addition to regular nachos, you must try the nacho pizza (pictured.)
7. Lupita's Mexican Restaurant, 754 Mays Blvd., Suite 1, Incline Village
Lupita's has excellent authentic Mexican food all around; however, the nachos are particularly amazing. With your choice of chicken, beef, or carnitas--as well as a veggie only option--loaded with all of the delicious extras, you can't go wrong with Lupita's nachos!
8. Miguel's Mexican Food, 1415 S. Virginia Street, Reno AND 13901 S. Virginia Street, Reno
In addition to the delicious regular nachos, this oldest family style Mexican restaurant in Reno offers super nachos with your choice of beef or steak and loaded with all of the usual extras. They're fantastic!
9. Little Waldorf Saloon, 1661 N. Virginia Street, Reno
This cute and historic eatery's mucho nachos are a must try! Loaded with chicken, black beans, cheese, and all the other fixin's, you haven't lived until you've eaten these heavenly nachos.
10. Racks Bar & Grill, 753 W. Aultman Street, Ely
Racks is delicious for just about everything, and nachos are one more thing at which this scrumptious eatery excels. These pulled pork nachos are tremendous!
