Nebraska’s beauty is undeniable, and it doesn’t take any time off in the winter. We dare say that our fair state is even lovelier when it’s covered in a blanket of snow. This drone footage shows the snowy city of Plainview. Spoiler alert: Plainview does not live up to its name – it’s positively enchanting in the winter.

This little city of around 1200 people already has a kind of storybook beauty. It's located in scenic northeastern Nebraska, and it's so quaint that it was used as the setting for much of the Alexander Payne movie Nebraska.

This video was taken in the aftermath of Blizzard Kayla in early 2017. The storm was significant, as you can see by some of the massive snow drifts. Look closely and you’ll see trucks plowing the streets.

This drone footage is from 2015, just after the first snow of the season. It’s much less of a dramatic scene than the first video, but the light dusting of snow gives the town a charming quality, like it’s a scene from a snow globe.
