It may seem like 2018 is flying by, but we’ve actually got a whole lot of year left before us. And if you play your cards right, you can try one of our most iconic or underrated restaurants each month until the end of 2018. We highly recommend trying as many of these spots as possible.
1. The Jersey Lilly, 105 Main St., Ingomar
This is one place that should be "required eating" for all Montanans.
The Jersey Lilly’s history goes all the way back to 1914 (when it was a bank), and they happen to serve some of the best steaks and beans in the state here.
2. The Emerson Grill , 207 W Olive St., Bozeman
3. Sir Scott's Oasis, 204 W Main St., Manhattan
Unfortunately, Sir Scott's Oasis has permanently closed.
We couldn't leave Montana's
most famous steakhouse off the list. Whether you've been a dozen times or you've never tried this beloved eatery, you'll never regret a trip to the Oasis.
4. La Fiesta Mexicana, 510 N. Montana St., Dillon
If you haven't tried the food at
this taco bus yet, you're missing out on what is arguably the best Mexican food in the state. Get some of these tacos ASAP.
5. Horn and Cantle, 800 Lone Mountain Ranch Rd., Big Sky
Horn and Cantle is fairly new to Big Sky, but it already has an excellent reputation. Not only is the food delicious, but the restaurant itself is the perfect combination of elegant and rustic.
6. The Burger Dive, 14 N 27th St., Billings
Sometimes, nothing but a good old-fashioned mouthwatering juicy burger will do. When the cravings hit, head straight to
The Burger Dive, which was recently listed in a Favorite Restaurants in Every State article in People Magazine.
7. Gallatin Riverhouse Grill, 45130 Gallatin Rd., Gallatin Gateway
Not only does this place serve some of the best BBQ on the planet, but it has the most
magical surroundings. Try this spot in the summertime and sit outdoors for the best views ever.
8. Double Front Cafe, 122 W Alder St., Missoula
In a city that always seems to be getting new restaurants,
Double Front remains a timeless treasure. Since 1961, this cafe has served the best fried chicken in town.
9. 3 North Bar & Grill, 8369 Mt Highway 3, Acton
Located just 16 miles from Billings, this middle-of-nowhere eatery was
recently renovated. Still, it maintains its classic small town charm, and the food is well worth the drive.
10. Walkers American Grill, 2700 1st Ave N., Billings
Come see why this
stunning restaurant. is considered to be one of Bozeman's best. Hint: It may have something to do with the Waygu Beef Burger.
Of course, you’ll have time to try many more of Montana’s eateries in 2018. A little rooftop dining might be nice this summer.
