This Massive Candy Store In Montana Will Make You Feel Like A Kid Again

In some ways, adulthood beats being a kid… you can watch as much TV as you want, and you never have to clean your room if you don’t feel like it (though it’s recommended that you do on occasion). That being said, there are times when nothing tops the nostalgic, innocent feeling of being a child. Being inside a candy store is one of those times.

Montana has quite a few places to feed your sweet tooth, and they’re all wonderful. But our state’s largest candy store is in a league of its own.

Candy Town USA opened their doors in 2005. They had a small storefront in a strip mall in Billings. They still call the city home, but now they’re a much bigger operation offering all kinds of candy, both old and new. Walk (or skip) down the aisles and you might see your childhood favorites next to some modern sweets.

You might even see some candy you’ve never heard of at Candy Town USA. They’re known for their collection of hard to find candies. And if you’re a fan of fudge, you won’t be disappointed.

Have we mentioned that it’s also an old-fashioned soda fountain? And they don’t use just any soda fountain: It’s an antique Bastian Blessing, which was used in the early 1900s until automated milkshake machines popped up around the country.

Aside from the delicious old-fashioned ice cream sodas, you’ll find practically any ice cream treat you can dream of: Sundaes, shakes, and numerous flavors of Wilcoxson’s ice cream. They even serve old-fashioned egg creams, a traditional East Coast drink made from chocolate sauce, milk and soda water.
