And while some of our cities draw in more tourists than others, those who call Montana home tend to know where the underrated places are. Kalispell isn’t exactly unknown, but many people don’t know just how much of a treasure it is.
Kalispell is a mere 20 minutes away from Flathead Lake, and you can drive to Glacier National Park from town in less than an hour. It’s also close to Whitefish Mountain Ski Resort, the Bob Marshall Wilderness area and some gorgeous parks.

There are some beautiful art galleries downtown, not to mention the Hockaday Museum of Art.

The Conrad Mansion dates back to 1868, and the Central School Museum is housed in a historic building that served as a school for almost 100 years.
