2018 is going to be a great year for Kansas City, I can feel it. There’s just so much to do and so many places to explore, it’s hard to only pick a few out of the thousands of things you can do here every year. Of course, we’ve covered quite a few, and here’s a list of our favorites from the year.
There's nothing that screams "Kansas City" more than a burger and skyscraper at Winstead's. Of course, they also make other great classics that you won't find just anywhere anymore.

This amazing little train ride is the perfect day's outing from our busy lives. The trip lasts under an hour, and filled with stunning scenery you can watch out of the open-window 1920's coach. You can even ride up front in the locomotive if you like!

I think every city should have a taco trail, to be honest. Though we didn't hit everyone's favorites, this taco trail won't disappoint when it comes to authentic eats at great prices.

Big cats will always be awesome, and it's extra special when they get rescued from less than favorable conditions to be here. The conservatory is also expanding soon, so every visit gets the word out and brings them even further towards better housing and care for these lovely giants!

Once a jail, city storage, and all sorts of other things, this abandoned castle in Kansas City is a shock for most. It's covered with graffiti and nature is slowly taking over, but it's worth it to explore the grounds during daylight hours.
