What’s the Fourth of July without ooahing and aahing over a massive fireworks show? Read on to find out where you can catch some big booms in Missouri this year. We bet this year’s displays will blow last year’s out of the water!

1. Kansas City Riverfest
Amazing fireworks from this KC favorite are expected. Fireworks start at 9:30 p.m. July 4, but come early to enjoy music, food, drinks and more!

2. Fire in the Sky
Columbia does the fourth proud with this annual event. Fireworks start at 9:15 p.m. in the downtown area, but come earlier in the day for live music and fun activities.

3. Fireworks at the 5MM
Fireworks are just meant to be viewed over water. Head to the 5 mile marker at Lake of the Ozarks on July 2nd (9:30 p.m) for one of the area’s best shows.

4. Salute to America
Jefferson City’s Fourth of July extravaganza (July 2-4) includes live entertainment, food and drink, live eagle displays, a petting zoo and pony rides. It wraps up the celebration the American way: Fireworks after dark, visible from the north lawn of the State Capitol.

5. Rockaway Beach’s 51st Annual Rockin’ 4th of July
This is one of the largest fireworks display in the state. Come early to catch fun, food, crafts, games, and more (you won’t want to miss the lawn mower parade). Fireworks begin at dusk.

6. Fair St. Louis
This fireworks extravaganza is just one part of a weekend-long celebration at Forest Park. Catch the fireworks 10 p.m. Saturday and Sunday and 9:30 p.m. Monday.
