Sometimes, you just need to take a long drive to clear your mind of daily stresses. Highway 67 in Missouri is a perfect drive for when you have no destination in mind. You will love this quiet drive through conservation areas with beautiful scenery and picturesque small towns. It is an especially beautiful drive in the fall while the leaves are changing color so, now is a great time to hit the road.

Once the highway leaves Jefferson County it splits from U.S. Route 60 and becomes a scenic drive through rural southeastern Missouri .

The highway passes first through St. Francois State Park which is known for its beautiful and enjoyable hiking trails.

Continue driving south and you will eventually come upon Lake Wappapello. This stunning lake is great for boating, swimming, fishing, and more!

The last big stop on the route is Poplar Bluff. You can grab dinner or stay the night and check out the Moark Regional Railroad Museum or the Margaret Harwell Art Museum.

U.S. Route 67 continues on into Arkansas but this long quite drive through Missouri is the perfect distraction to take you miles away from it all.
