Woody's Roadside Is One Of The Most Unique Restaurants In Mississippi

Just like you shouldn’t judge a book by its cover, you shouldn’t judge a restaurant by its outward appearance – and Woody’s Roadside is a prime example. The Ocean Springs eatery looks like a typical chain restaurant on the exterior, but that’s simply not the case. Aside from featuring an impressive fare – which includes mouthwatering burgers, seafood, and barbecue, the eatery boasts a lively atmosphere, complete with games and musical entertainment. To put it simply, Woody’s Roadside is far from typical, and you’ll want to visit. Take a look:

At first glance, it may not appear to be anything special.

However, after taking a closer look at the sign's fine print, it's pretty clear that Woody's is far from standard.

Step inside, and you'll find a full bar and huge, 2-story dining area.

The menu boasts a varied fare. Each and every item is made from scratch and prepared using quality ingredients.

As far as appetizers go, you'll definitely want to start off with the Cheese Bombs.

A restaurant signature, the Cheese Bombs are pieces of white cheddar cheese that have been twice battered and deep fried.

The result is a crisp outside and interior that is oozing with cheese.

Although served with marinara sauce for dipping, the cheesy treats are great all on their own.

Burgers are another specialty of Woody's. Part of what makes them so good is the fact that the meat is ground in-house.

They're also known to feature some not-so-standard toppings. The Blue Bison, which is topped with sweet BBQ sauce and blue cheese, is just one of the unique creations that fill the menu.

Another is The Hangover. The customer favorite is topped with bacon, hash browns, cheddar and Havarti cheese, and a fried egg.

The menu is also brimming with seafood dishes, including everything from pan seared salmon to shrimp po' boys.

The seafood is even used to create Woody's signature tacos.

In the mood for barbecue? No problem; Woody's has that too!

Head to Woody's on a Friday night, and you'll be able to take part in Rock and Roll Bingo.

The fun starts at 8:30 pm, and winners are awarded prizes, which include Woody's gift cards.

Far from typical, Woody's is an absolute must-visit. Between the food and the atmosphere, you're practically guaranteed to leave satisfied.
