Because of the cold and the fact that we’re considered a “flyover state,” there are plenty of Minnesota haters out there. But you know what… we don’t really care! Besides, there’s always a level of hypocrisy to what people say when they’re putting down Minnesota. So if you know a ‘Sota hater, just do what we do best, passively point out that hypocrisy until they leave our beloved state alone.

3. Despite what you've heard about our accents and intelligence level, we have the 3rd most literate city in the US, and have created some of the best inventions.

Whoever came up with Post-its, Frozen Pizza, Microwave Popcorn, Waterskiis, Pop-up Toasters, Seatbelts. Scotch Tape, Bundt Cake, Malls, Sandpaper, Cake Mix, Armored Trucks, Grocery Bags With Handles, Thermostats, Rollerblades and staplers sure were smart.
4. We know how to have fun.

But you're right, living on the coast and going to the beach to swim and sail everyday does sound like fun. The only bummer is that cold water and those dangerous waves. If only it was clear, freshwater.
