When you live in Minneapolis, it’s hard to even conceive the idea that you would leave the Twin Cities to have an amazing meal when some of the best restaurants are located within minutes of home. Most Minneapolitans would never think a strip mall in the middle of nowhere would contain much of anything, much less a fantastic Cajun/Creole restaurant. That’s exactly what you get when you visit Bistro La Roux in Circle Pines, just a mere 18 miles away from Minneapolis.

We love the lights hanging from beams on the ceiling. The interior just feels cool. It almost feels like it it would belong right at home in Minneapolis, but since it's basically in the middle of nowhere, it's actually a lot more accessible than the trendiest restaurants in the city.
