This Incredible Kite Festival In Minnesota Is A Must-See

Minnesota is full of fun winter activities, especially around the holidays. But what about when the holiday festivities are all over for the year? You could retreat inside for the remainder of the winter. Or you could get out and enjoy all that the season has to offer. One of the best post-Christmas winter activities in Minnesota is an incredible kite festival that is held every winter on Lake Harriet. Read on to learn more about this must-see event.

The Lake Harriet Winter Kite Festival is held on Lake Harriet in Minneapolis, Minnesota. For winter of 2017-2018, the festival will take place on January 27, 2018.

The kite festival runs from noon to 4:00 p.m.m on that day and its free of charge. All you need to bring is warm winter clothes - and a kite, if you'd like to take part!

Members of the Minnesota Kite Society will demonstrate their skills using interesting kites of all shapes and colors.
