Hidden beneath the waves of Lake Michigan just off the coast of Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore, the U.S. Coast Guard’s Air Station found something incredible: decades old shipwrecks. Some of the ships wreckage dates back to the 1800’s, one of the ships, the Rising Sun set sail in 1917 and never made it home. Check out some of their finds.

3) "This 133 foot long wooden steamer stranded just north of Pyramid Point," the Coast Guard said. "She went to pieces and her wreckage now rests in 6 to 12 feet of water."
