Sure, Michigan winters can be rough, we all know it. But we like to look at it in a positive light and appreciate the natural beauty that can be found only during the colder months.

Take the ice that builds up on our Great Lakes. Every year, it’s quite the sight to behold, whether from Lake Michigan, Lake Superior, Lake Erie, or Lake Huron. This year, the spectacular show comes to us next to the Mackinac Bridge in Mackinaw City.

According to MLive, engaged couple Kelly Alvesteffer and Rob LaLone came across blue ice build up stacking up along the shore. So they did what any good shutterbug would do: they grabbed their camera and started shooting the wondrous images and posted them to their photography Facebook page.
