If there were such a thing as a state drink, I think it would be safe to say Michigan’s would be Faygo (or maybe Vernor’s). Those clear glass bottles, filled with syrupy, fizzy goodness are just about as ubiquitous to the Michigan experience as the Great Lakes. Check out this YouTube video of a classic, 1970s Faygo commercial, shot on the boat to Boblo Island Amusement Park. It’ll have you running to the corner market to grab a Rock N’ Rye.
