Any guesses as to which state was named the safest? Deep down you already know the answer, Massachusetts! Broken down by various things such as overall crime and violence rates, road safety and community stability, the Bay State has come out on top! Our endless miles of coastline help keep us known as one of America's most stunning states. One of the reasons our state manages to stay so beautiful? We make an effort to maintain our environmental programs that make sure our ocean shores and rivers aren't filled with chemicals and trash. One of the categories our state scored especially well in? Not too shabby! Another thing that got us to the top of the list? Our low crime rates. Overall, the research showed that out of all regions to live in America, New England is the safest. Generally speaking, New England's urban and rural areas have low crime rates. Another contributing factor to the overall safeness?
