The Magical Polar Express Train Ride In Massachusetts Everyone Should Experience At Least Once

The smell of snow may not be in the air quite yet, but the jingle of sleigh bells sure is. The holidays are just around the corner, and it’s time to start thinking about the best way to celebrate the season. What better way to capture the magic of Christmas than by hopping on a train to the North Pole?

Massachusetts has its very own Polar Express, and you’re definitely going to want to pick up your ticket as soon as possible.

The train runs on the following dates: Nov. 18-20, 23, 25-27; Dec. 2-4, 9-11, 14-23. Departure times are at 2:00 p.m., 3:30 p.m., 5:00 p.m., 6:30 p.m. and 8:00 p.m.

You’ll leave from the depot, which includes a parking area, a ticket office, gift shop, restrooms, and a boarding area. Don’t forget to pick up goodies at the gift shop, including ornaments, toys, t-shirts and souvenirs.

The train ride takes about 1 hour. Ticket prices vary according to class, but a standard child’s ticket is $35. A standard adult ticket is $45.

Spaces are filling fast, but there are still spots available for November and December. Go here to book your reservation.
