Don’t Miss This Massive Cider Festival In Massachusetts This Fall

CiderDays is an annual festival that celebrates all things autumn and apple. It’s been running for 22 years, and is the perfect way to get into the spirit of the season while tasting all the delicious cider offerings of Franklin County.

Read on to learn why this is one autumn festival that will enchant you.

This festival is located in Franklin County, but there’s no one venue you need to visit. The festival showcases all the best apple bounty from orchards in Ashfield, Deerfield, Charlemont, Colrain, New Salem and other towns.

Attendees will be treated to tours, cider making demonstrations, workshops and much more. There will be tastings galore, and plenty of opportunities to get your hands on the freshest apples of the season.

The activities are awesome and hands-on. Some of the offerings include ice cider tasting, tutorials on how to make your own apple cider vinegar and “fire” cider, apple tree pruning workshops, cider and cheese pairings, apple-themed cooking demonstrations, and apple pie samplings.

Most of the activities at local orchards and at the Shelburne Buckland Community Center are completely free. There is a charge for some of the more intensive workshops.

Whether you’re passionate about crafting cider, growing apples or just love a warm belly of apple goodness (hard or sweet), CiderDays is the perfect celebration of fall’s favorite fruit.

CiderDays kicks off on the first full weekend of November, the 4th to the 6th.
