Tucked away in Mendon is a wild attraction that often flies under the radar. Its distance from Boston and the coast makes this place a bit of a reach for tourists, but it should be on every local’s itinerary. Southwick’s Zoo is more than a bunch of animals – it’s an adventure.

Spread over 300 acres of land, this zoo has designed its exhibits to resemble the natural habitats of its animals as closely as possible. Over 850 exotic animals from across the globe are housed in the interactive enclosures. This place will let you get so close to the animals that you’ll feel like one of the pack.
