Maryland’s state flag might be the most awesome ever. Thanks to George Calvert, Lord Baltimore, we have his colorful, artistic heraldic banner as our flag. It was adopted by Maryland’s General Assembly in 1904, and we’ve been displaying it proudly ever since.
