15 Reasons Why My Heart Will Always Be In Maryland

Maryland, today we’re getting personal. I’ve been writing the Maryland content here for a little over four months and though I’ve covered a lot so far, none of it has truly expressed my feelings towards our beloved state. It’s nearly impossible to describe a feeling. No words I write here today can measure the hold that the Free State has on my emotions, memories, ups and downs, and comforts that I feel privileged to have experienced. But I can try. And I hope today’s post will make you also remember why you love Maryland.

Here are 15 reasons why Maryland will always be in my heart, and my heart always in Maryland.

2. Most of the things I've learned have been from Maryland schools.

3. No matter how many restaurants I try, their crab cakes will never compare to how my mother used to make them.

4. Maryland is the place I ran, jumped, splashed, fell, and explored to my hearts content.

5. My hometown may change a bit, but my memories there are forever.

6. And even though I haven't lived in my hometown for years, I can still remember how to get around town.

7. Remembering all the little spots that have special meaning to me. Like the tree I used to climb and the place where I had my first kiss.

8. Autumn in Maryland. Especially the sounds of leaves crunching underneath my feet.

9. Fun events throughout the state. From festivals, to farmers markets, to parades.

10. Every time I spot nautical crab decor, I'm reminded of home.

11. It's the place of so many adventures with my friends.

13. Maryland holds so much history. Not only for myself, but for countless others throughout the decades.

14. Perfect days like this when the world seems to stand still.

15. And because no where else will ever compare. Not even close.
