That special time of year is almost here. Time for crisp air, pumpkin-spice everything, and corn mazes. With fall comes fall festivals and no one does them quite like the Old Line State. The following fall festivals in Maryland are so unique, you’ll want to attend them all.
1. Maryland Renaissance Festival - Now through Oct 23rd
This popular annual festival is back and just as big as ever. Enjoy watching shows, jousting competitions, peruse the vendors, and chomp down on fun fair foods.

2. Chesapeake Celtic Festival, Oct 1st and 2nd
This event features fun Celtic traditions including live pipe bands, dancing, and Celtic-themed foods. Get into the Celtic spirit with whiskey in hand at this lively festival.

3. Das Best Oktoberfest, Sept 24th and Oct 8th
If you're a lover a beer and German food, this is the festival for you. Held at the National Harbor in September and Baltimore in October, this traditional festival has a party atmosphere with a side of sausage and sauerkraut

4. Sugarloaf Craft Festival, Oct 7th-9th, 14th-16th and Nov 18th-20th
Touring in the spring and fall, Sugarloaf Craft Festival will be coming to Timonium and Gaithersburg. This huge craft show is full of arts and crafts that are handmade by skilled artisans.

5. Maryland Pumpkin Festival, Oct 8th-9th
Summers Farm in Frederick will be hosting the Maryland Pumpkin Festival. You can zoom down the hay slides, paint pumpkins, go on a hay ride and much more!

6. Autumn Glory Festival, Oct 12th-16th
This annual festival in the Deep Creek area features a parade, pumpkin chucking, fall foliage driving tours and more. This western Maryland tradition is one you won't want to miss.

7. Autumn Wine Festival, Oct 17th-18th
Wine lovers, rejoice! This two-day festival in Salisbury will have over a dozen Maryland wineries to sample from. Food and craft vendors will also be on site.

8. Berlin Octoberfest, Oct 15th

10. Main Street Music Fest, Sept 24th
While this annual live music festival is usually held in historic Ellicott City, due to the tragic flooding of the town, it will now be held at Merriweather Post Pavilion. 100% of the proceeds will go to the Ellicott City Partnership to assist with flood recovery efforts.
