Maine Is One Of The Safest Places In The U.S. To Live

Debuting their annual report, World Atlas came out with their list of safest states to live in this year. What will come as no shock to any of our residents, Maine was named the 10th safest place to live in the United States!

World Atlas considers several factors such as overall crime and violence rates, emergency preparedness, financial security and community safety... just to name a few. Overall the New England urban and rural areas tend to have low crime rates.

Another factor that makes this region of America so much more safe compared to others? The fact that it's not typically the target of major natural disasters.

Like we said, New England typically isn't the hot spot for natural disasters. More specifically, out of all of the states in the country Maine is particularly safe from these threats.

World Atlas reported that Maine was in the Top five states with the lowest estimated property losses from natural disasters. Home owners all over the state are proudly celebrating! Go Maine!
