It used to be a warehouse for storing bales of cotton from steamboats making their way down the Ouachita River. Once the railroad industry began thriving, the building was used to store groceries and hardware.
When renovations began on Warehouse No.1 in 1980, it was important to keep as many as the original features as possible, preserving the integrity of the building.

You’ll notice the original floors and exterior walls are the same, and many support beams are left exposed, adding a lovely rustic element to the atmosphere.
