When you think of roadside attractions, maybe your first thought is a quaint little diner, or a quirky gift shop of sorts, but this one is different. A little bit off the beaten path, but worth your while. Down in the swamps of the Atchafalya you’ll find one of the most unique places you’ll ever come across.

Almost 20 years ago, Adam Morales found some pieces of driftwood that he thought looked like the Loch Ness Monster.

He gathered up the pieces, took them home, added some eyes, and just like that he had made his first piece.
People loved his little creation, so he decided to make others.

A carpenter by trade, Adam doesn't carve or whittle his pieces.

They are all formed naturally. He finds them as is and screws them together, adds some paint, maybe some googly eyes.
