This Rare Footage In The 1930s Shows New Orleans Like You’ve Never Seen Before

New Orleans does such a wonderful job preserving its history–you can take a walk through countless neighborhoods and feel like you are back in time. That said, there is nothing quite like seeing the city through the lens of the past. This collection of rare footage of New Orleans from the 1930s is absolutely mesmerizing. It’s amazing to see both how much New Orleans has changed–and how many things have stayed the same, especially in the French Quarter.

Isn’t that video incredible? I think my favorite part is seeing the artists working in Pirate’s Alley–not so different from today! Although the medium has changed quite a bit. Let us know what you think of the video! We love to hear your feedback.
