Minden is steeped in history. From the Minden Cemetery which includes graves of soldiers from the Civil War to the Germantown Colony Museum, there’s much to explore in beautiful Minden.
Once you've shopped till you've dropped, head about 30 minutes south to Lake Bistineau State Park.

Beautiful vista views, hiking and biking trails, cabins playgrounds, and excellent fishing.
And Minden is a lovely place to visit this time of year.

Minden gets all dressed up for Christmas as part of the Louisiana Holiday Trail of Lights. The Old World Christmas Light Spectacular is on display every night until January 1 and features hundreds of life-sized nutcrackers and thousands of twinkling lights illuminating historic downtown Minden.
