Even though Louisiana is a coastal state, we don’t have the miles and miles of white sandy beaches that our other Gulf State counterparts do. With that being said, Louisiana does have some beautiful beaches where you can sink your toes in the sand. Down at the tip of the boot, Grand Isle offers seven miles of public beaches that are perfect for spending a day of fun in the sun. A little further down the coast on the southwestern side of the state, you’ll find Holly Beach. Nicknamed the “Cajun Riviera,” this Cameron Parish beach offers stunning sunset views and incredible opportunities for sea-shelling.

While Louisiana doesn’t have the typical beach towns that Florida or even Alabama are known for, Louisiana does have some relaxing beaches that will make you think you’ve been transported to a tropical island.
