Believe it or not, Louisiana has a long history in horse racing, specifically the Kentucky Derby. Several successful jockeys and horses have been from Louisiana, and even some of the famous hats that the women wear at the Derby are from Fleur De Paris, a renowned hat designed from New Orleans. On May 6th, the Derby on Fulton comes to New Orleans for its third year of celebrating “The Most Exciting Two Minutes In Sports.”
