f history and that unbridled spirit within the community, you’ve got a town that shines in the Bluegrass State. Greenville is such a town and if you haven’t passed through and stopped by yet, you’ll definitely want to plan a visit.
If you're looking for a small town in Kentucky to visit that has plenty of heart and character, you should definitely consider Greenville.
If you were to draw a triangle connecting Owensboro, Paducah and Bowling Green, Greenville would fall right in the center, right in the heart of Western Kentucky. The town continues to grow and revitalize and it's a true representation of the Bluegrass State.
Charming Main Street is the heartbeat of Greenville and steadily becoming a destination in and of itself.
With local restaurants and shops scattered along the street, it's a vibrant place to stroll and explore. One of the local favorites is Aunt M's Cafe, which claims to serve the best burgers in town. You'll also find a variety of shops and boutiques, as well as plenty of history.

The centerpiece of Greenville is definitely the Muhlenberg County Courthouse.
Built in 1907, the stunning structure provides a beautiful backdrop for many town events and gatherings. It is also considered the second largest clock tower dome in the state of Kentucky and is truly a sight to see!
Greenville shows its unbridled spirit with plenty of festive fun.
It seems the town is always celebrating and gathering for festivals and events. Downtown Greenville offers a variety of events throughout the year including "Saturdays on the Square," "Twi-Light Drive-in Antique Car Show," "Squash & Gobble Arts Bazaar & Fall Festival," an annual Christmas Parade and various downtown merchant open houses. Greenville loves to show off the energy and beauty of its citizens and town features.
You wouldn't be able to call Greenville "quintessential Kentucky" without a lake nearby.
Lake Malone State Park is nearby and this lovely area is ideal for boating, fishing, swimming, and hiking. The 788-acre lake is surrounded by sandstone bluffs and there are plenty of trails surrounding it that are appropriate for all adventure-seekers.

Greenville is a delightful town that is working hard to maintain its charm and appeal.
With its growing Main Street, historic past, and natural beauty, Greenville is the quintessential Kentucky town that when you visit you'll be "just in time" to experience it for yourself.
