After the madness of the holidays in Kentucky, sometimes it is good to take a small vacation. Guests just rave about the meals they get the pleasure of eating during their stay. The friendly staff, beautiful accommodations and scenic views make this a great place to get away for some pampering. It is located at 1226 Bluegrass Parkway in LaGrange.
11. Bourbon Manor B&B
This gorgeous plantation style manor is located in historic Bardstown on 714 N. 3rd Street. It offers multiple rooms in the cottage and manor for guests, also providing a top notch bourbon bar and a spa, just to make sure everyone is relaxed during their visit. They offer amazing food, fantastic service and are an overall classy establishment well worth the visit.
10. Christopher's B&B
This unique B&B is housed in a historic church at 604 Poplar Street in Bellevue. The Governor’s room offers a huge Jacuzzi, but all the rooms are cozy, comfortable and have beautiful stained glass windows. The windows themselves are one of the perks of staying here as the hand crafted glass shimmers in the light of the sun or the moon. The food is all homemade and completely delicious. Plus snacks, drinks and a wonderful movie selection is available for all guests at their leisure. It's wonderful service in a beautiful establishment. You won’t be disappointed.
9. Dupont Mansion Historic B&B.
This beautiful Victorian mansion on 1317 S. 4th Street in Old Louisville offers comfortable rooms, Wifi, gourmet breakfast, a library, kitchen and a lovely garden for relaxing. The B&B provides the feel of the original Victorian era with its impressively carved woodwork and sturdy, decorative architecture. Not to mention, the hosts are friendly, informative and provide a welcoming atmosphere to the guests.
8. Springhill Winery Plantation B&B
This beautiful civil war plantation turned B&B at 3205 Springfield Road in Bloomfield offers a gorgeous setting, with flourishing vineyards. The guest rooms are air conditioned, offer Wifi, no smoking and the breakfasts are everything one expects in a good, southern breakfast. Their wine is fruity and delicious, so try a few, as some are sweeter than others. You won’t leave hungry or disappointed when you visit Springhill.
7. Ruby Lodge At Spring Lake Woods
This beautiful B&B at 367 Springlake Street in Madisonville has antique filled rooms, floral décor, Wifi, cable, and an orchid filled greenhouse. There is a fireplace to relax by and the food, which is cooked to order, is absolutely delicious. Ruby’s is one of the most affordable B&B’s in Kentucky, and for the service and comforts received, a stay here is a real delight.
This wonderfully medieval bed and breakfast is located at 230 Pisgah Pike in Versailles. It offers a truly unique environment, allowing guests to feel like the royalty, or nobility of old. The food is delicious and the venue itself is cozy, recently renovated, and offers a very comfortable stay. This is a very popular spot for weddings and makes for a true fairy tale setting. Realistically, who doesn’t want to feel like a prince or princess every now and again?
5. Spongie Acres B&B
This beautiful B&B is located on 610 Matlock Road in Bowling Green. It offers visitors a comfortable and home like environment, with everything from gourmet breakfast to fresh cookies throughout the stay. Some visitors said they wished they could rate this establishment a 6 star instead of 5, due to the great accommodations, fantastic food and friendly, caring service.
4. Tucker House B&B
This comfortable 1840s home at 2406 Tucker Station Road in Louisville has a hot tub, an outdoor pool, Wifi and is child friendly. It offers guests a relaxing environment on five scenic acres to enjoy some personal time. Tucker House also prepares a great homemade breakfast that won’t leave you wanting for more.
3. Storybook Inn
The name says it all for this beautiful 1838 home turned B&B at 277 Rose Hill Avenue in Versailles. It offers guests comfortable rooms, well decorated with art, antiques and a very comfortable bed, plus Wifi, whirlpool tubs, a spa and a delicious meal. The service has been described as impeccable and the overall stay, well worth the journey. You might say it is like being in a storybook with a wonderful ending.
2. Willis Graves Bed and Breakfast
This beautifully restored 1830s manor is located at 5825 N. Jefferson Street in Burlington. The rooms are filled with antiques and big comfortable beds, like the canopy in the Thomas suite. There is a restored cabin, Wifi, hot tub, and all rooms have a private kitchen. Plus, the food they serve is unbelievable, like cream brulee French toast and gingerbread pancakes. This is a must visit if you're wanting a relaxing escape from responsibility.
1. Snug Hollow Farm Bed and Breakfast
This charming B&B at 790 Cr-1221 in Irvine is as wonderful as it sounds. The rooms are so comfortable you just want to snuggle in for your stay, and the hostess is incredibly friendly, offering first rate service. The food itself is homemade and delicious. Plus, if you want to get out, there are walking trails and pottery studios within walking distance. Snugg Hollow has been recognized by Vegetarian Times Magazine as a great vegetarian retreat for their incredible selection of delicious meals and treats. This is a great little out of the way place to enjoy life and relax.
