These 12 Towns In Kansas Are On Santa's Naughty List This Year

It should come as no big surprise that the college town of Lawrence, with a population of nearly 90,000, was named Road Snack's Drunkest City in Kansas. Aside from the fact that KU is one of the biggest party schools in the country, Lawrence also has the 5th most bars per capita in the state, as well as a divorce rate of 8.4%.

Attention Wichita: SLOW DOWN!!! Last month, The Wichita Eagle reported that out of a total of 93,620 traffic and parking tickets written in 2014, nearly 1/3 were issued for speeding. The highest clocked speed? A whopping 116 mph!

According to Road Snack's 10 Most Dangerous Places In Kansas list, Coffeyville residents have a 1 in 16 chance of being robbed, meaning "that if you weren't robbed last year, someone on your street was."

Go home, Overland Park... you're drunk! So much so, in fact, that Road Snack's ranked the city second on their 10 Drunkest Cities In Kansas list. One of the main reasons? "Lawrence led the way on Twitter, but there were lots of Overland Park drunk tweets. Sadly, instead of them talking about people partying, lots of them mention many of the drunk-related crimes that happen here."

Hutch's crime rate maybe decreasing, but the FBI's report still shows a 1 in 18 chance of being robbed in the town of 42,000.

Here's a scary statistic via Neighborhood Scout: With the national average of 37.9 crimes per square mile, Junction City clocks a whopping 64 (which is well above Kansas's 24)!

Here's another issue you may feel strongly about one way or the other: Royster Middle School found itself in the midst of a heated debate earlier this year after school officials removed Warner Sallman’s "Head of Christ" painting from a hallway. The move came after the school received a notification from the Freedom From Religion Foundation, stating they were in violation of the First Amendment. (Source.)
