The endlessly scenic Flint Hills area of Kansas is an all-time favorite for plenty of travelers, giving a welcome break from the wheat fields and flat lands you’ll find in most of the state. It’s practically a tradition to make the trip through it at least once during your time in Kansas. Whether it’s spring greens or field burning, it’s truly a magical place that occasionally sports quite a few Bison, not often seen in large numbers due to them almost going extinct in the 19th century.
