If there’s one thing we Kansans know (aside from feeding the world with our spectacular agriculture and how college sports should be played), it’s BBQ. Lucky for us, there are incredible BBQ joints spread throughout the entire Sunflower State, which include (in no particular order):
1. Dudley's Done Right B.B.Q (Iola)
What started as a popular food truck is now a full-fledged BBQ empire, with the tasty joint recently opening their first ever storefront. Stop in today for this slow-cooked masterpiece!
2. We B Smokin' (Paola)
While they b smokin', you b eatin' better than you have in awhile at this Miami County Airport establishment, "where sticky fingers are a good thing."
3. Guy & Mae's Tavern (Williamsburg)
Don't blink or you may miss the unsuspecting Guy & Mae's Tavern and some of the best BBQ you'll ever try! Trust us; it's worth a trip to the small town of nearly 400 to get a taste!
4. Smoked Creations BBQ (Ottawa)
Smoked Creations Prime Rib Dip Sandwich will ruin you for all other sandwiches... you've been warned (and reassured)!
5. Roy's Hickory Pit BBQ (Hutchinson)
One of my good friends wakes up early every Saturday morning to get a spot in line at Roy's--and for good reason! This family-owned restaurant has been serving all kinds of traditional BBQ since 1982.
6. Hickory Hut (Salina)
Have you found yourself in a BBQ rut? Then head to Salina's Hickory Hut! (See what I did there?) This locally owned and operated Hut offers catering, sit down, and take out options to fit any of your craving needs.
7. Big-N-Small's BBQ (Arkansas City)
If you've ever read my bio, you know that I have an undying love for chicken nachos... but do you want to know what I love even more than chicken nachos? Brisket Nachos from Big-N-Smalls. (Oh, and my family, of course.)
8. Hog Wild Pit Bar-B-Q (Wichita)
Do you go "hog wild" for a taste of Hog Wild's famous BBQ? (Who doesn't?!) If so, you're in luck, as Hog Wild has locations in not only Wichita, but El Dorado, Salina, Hutch, and Lawrence as well.
9. Joe’s Kansas City Bar-B-Que (Kansas City)
