What’s better than finding a hidden gem – a beautiful restaurant that serves delicious food in a truly unique location? Tucked amongst the iconic Iowa cornfields is an amazing restaurant that is totally Iowa. This steakhouse is in a restored barn, with a beautifully redone interior and mouthwatering, stick to your ribs Iowa food. Teddy’s Barn & Grill is truly a picture perfect Iowa restaurant.
Located near the small town of Amber, Iowa, Teddy’s is in a three-level, remodeled, round-roof barn.
The barn was built in 1958 by the Theodore Freese family after their original barn burnt down, so it is truly Teddy’s barn.
Even the drive out to the restaurant lends to the experience. You’ll travel winding country roads as you take in the beautiful Iowa landscape.
The main dining area is actually located in the barn’s former hayloft, and the restaurant features two full bars.
And during warmer weather, there’s a great outdoor patio on the third level that lets you eat your dinner with a spectacular view of the surrounding countryside.
The restaurant serves classic American dishes with a contemporary twist.
You can choose from a large selection of appetizers, entrees, salads, soups, sides and desserts.
There are so many choices, it’ll be hard to decide, like a succulent house-cut sirloin, Asiago mushroom chicken, herb-crusted griddled tilapia, and much more.
Teddy’s is located at 14575 E23 County Home Rd., Anamosa, IA.
